"Banking sector is going to observe it's next merger after SBI and Associate.
The process of merger is in under consideration by Govt of India, Ministry of Finance. And the process of these going in high speed.
After Marger only Five will be there - PNB, BOB, Canara Bank , BOI and Union Bank of India will be exist and others Bank will be merged with them" as per ZEE News, Business information.
Name of all the bank may be changed. PNB will be renamed as North Indian Bank and others will be like East Bank, South Bank, Central Bank and West Bank.
But Govt yet not come out with any deceleration from their side.
It is also coming from different Political analytics that Merger process may not be that much easy as all the banks are under pressure ,their Balance sheet is bleeding and in a very bad shape. It is worthy mention that among all the PSU Banks , Union Bank of India is the only Bank which gave profit since it's inception.
Now all the bankers are waiting for the announcement from Govt. about this merger. Media house are coming out everyday with new idea and new logic but without any authentic information.
